CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Arpita is a patent attorney, handling patent matters related to pharmaceutical and chemical patents. She specializes in handling prosecution of applications at the Indian Patent Office. She also handles patent revocation matters at the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB) and has worked on patent litigation matters involving pharmaceuticals. She has also worked on oppositions before the Indian Patent Office. Arpita’s experience includes drafting of patent specifications, providing opinions including patentability/infringement opinions. Arpita being specialized in organic chemistry and having admitted to Bar, has advised several clients ranging from the field of pharmaceuticals, textile, petroleum, nutraceuticals, materials and several other industries. She is also a visiting faculty for various universities and institutes.

She joined Anand and Anand in 2007 and has an experience of over 13 years.
