Vidisha is a partner at Anand and Anand and involved in the firm's patent practice. She has a dual post graduation degree in Organic Chemistry and Law. She is an active member of international bodies, such as the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI) and International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorney (FICPI).
Vidisha became a registered patent agent in 2004 and since then she has been practicing in the patent office. In a short span of about eleven years, she has represented her clients in several pre grant and post grant patent opposition matters. Vidisha also handles patent revocation matters before IPAB. She was involved in the Glaxo (Tykerb) revocation matter. Her practice areas also include drafting of patent specifications, patent search and analysis, freedom to operate searches, providing opinions on patent laws in India, validity, patentability and infringement. She also advises her clients on issues relating to protection of national biodiversity.
She has been the author of articles in various publications such as Managing Intellectual Property, WIPR and LSIPR.
Before becoming a patent agent, Ms. Garg was involved in research in the field of synthetic organic chemistry. She has authored research papers in journals of international repute. She was also a recipient of the TIFAC (DST, Government of India) Scholarship for training in IPR.
