Updates from GIPC 2019; Pravin Anand presented with the Award of Excellence at the 11th Global IP Convention Awards, 2019

Recognizing the invaluable services in the field of Innovation and IP made by Pravin Anand, the 11th Global Intellectual Property Convention (GIPC) Awards, 2019 honored his achievements by presenting him with the ‘Award of Excellence’. Indeed! The most innovative lawyer.

The 11th Global Intellectual Property Convention held in January 2019, was an interesting three-day affair with IP lawyers across the world interacting and sharing their thoughts with each other.

Pravin Anand delivered one of the inaugural speeches and later during the day, he shared his insights on “Digital Economy led Innovation and Challenges for IP”.

Dhruv Anand spoke on the subject of “Copyright and Big Data – A view from the Industry”.

On the third day, Neeti Wilson talked about the “Recent Monsanto judgment by the Indian Supreme Court: Appreciating Section 3 (j) of Indian Patent Act and the Plant Variety Protection Status”.

Later on the same day, Tusha Malhotra lent her views on “Damages and Awards for IP Infringements.”

The last day of the Conference saw Pravin Anand deliver the valedictory address for the forum alongside other noted speakers and personalities.
