As part of our centenary celebrations, Anand and Anand is excited to announce, ‘The Indian Science Inventions and Innovations Competition’, a competition around inventions and innovations uniquely originating in India.

About the Competition:

This Competition is being held under the aegis of 17th Raj Anand Moot and will focus on Indian Science including inventions and innovations uniquely originating in India.

As mark of its centenary celebrations, Anand and Anand is organising the ‘Indian Science Competition, 2023’, a first-of-its-kind science storytelling competition around  inventions and innovations uniquely originating in India.

To be held on August 26 at the India Habitat Centre, the competition aims to inculcate in the youth of India, especially the aspiring lawyers who would soon enter the legal profession, an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) with deep respect for India’s defining contributions to the world of science and technology.

Hon’ble Justice Yashwant Verma is the Chief Guest with Hon’ble Justice Pratibha M. Singh delivering the keynote address.

The preliminary rounds will be judged by three former judges of the High Court of Delhi – Hon’ble Justice Manmohan Singh, Hon’ble Justice Mukta Gupta, and Hon’ble Justice G.S. Sistani.

Hon’ble Justice C Hari Shankar and Hon’ble Justice Amit Bansal will judge the finals. Hon’ble Justice Manmohan and Hon’ble Justice Nazmi Waziri, former judge, Delhi High Court would be joining the valedictory ceremony.

The competition will see 21 teams from law colleges across India put their storytelling and presentation skills on display as they engage the judges with tales as old as time around and about Indian inventions and innovations.

Earlier this year, the firm had unveiled a 3D hologram of Sir C V Raman  at the Global IP Convention in Goa. Like this competition, the hologram is part of a bigger project – a museum of holograms of Indian scientists – to inculcate interest of the youth in STEM and related fields. The competition will begin with a show of the interactive hologram.
