“What would you think is a worthy innovation?”, asks Safir Anand in his talk at MeltingPot2020, as he elaborates on the differences between the academic percept and commercial reality when it comes to creativity.

Safir addresses misnomers about the traditional academic fields receiving priority, the need to protect invention in universities and, simply, that innovation can be fun.

MeltingPot2020 brought together over industry and academic leaders to encourage young innovators over the course of two days. With over 500 attendees, including participation by over 200 academic institutions, the event highlighted the need to encourage young innovators and enabled collaboration between industry and academia.
