Gautam Razdan

Gautam is a Partner in the Trademark International Department at Anand and Anand where he plays a lead role in Intellectual property monetization for clients through protection, enforcement, and inception of unique IPR practices inclusive of providing Clearance Opinions, Trademark Prosecution, Cancellations & Assignment and licensing of Trademarks and Copyright.

He has been advising, analyzing, protecting, and reporting on issues pertaining to Intellectual property foreign laws (globally) for over a decade. He primarily advises clients (both Indian and International clients) on trademark protection in India and foreign jurisdictions besides offering nuanced advice  on the trademark laws of SAARC countries as well as other major jurisdictions such as the USA, China, the European Union, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the gulf nations.

Apart from extensive engagement in protection and Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights, Gautam displays expertise in Transborder Reputation- Protection of well-known trademarks in India and abroad. This has him  working closely with leading foreign law firms for protection against any possible IP violations.

Gautam has been dealing with vast gamut of high-level International clientele including associations with prestigious foreign bodies (Government and semi government) working dedicatedly in the Intellectual Property space.

Gautam also engages actively in conducting webinars, sessions, and conferences for a rainbow of stakeholders i.e. foreign law firms, industry experts, corporates with a well-defined agenda and thought leadership that innovatively captures the nuances of IP regime in India and abroad.

Beyond work, Gautam lives up to the vision of the firm i.e. ‘360 degrees IP & Beyond’ by spreading IP awareness through  regular news alerts/circulars  educating and informing  clients and thereby enabling them to take required action to protect their Intellectual Property Rights in India and abroad.
