In a boost for enforcement of IP rights, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a circular instructing police academies to ensure that regular courses on IPRs are incorporated into training for new recruits, as well as for in service police officials.
The circular follows on concerns expressed by Rajnath Singh, Minister, Home Affairs at the National Workshop on Enforcement of IP Rights, organised by the Cell for IPR Protection and Management (CIPAM), held in August 2017.
