Sabyasachi Couture, gets a favorable order against a famous Delhi based retailer of wedding garments by the Delhi High Court

Recently, the powerhouse of fashion, Sabyasachi Couture, got a favourable order against a famous Delhi based retailer of wedding garments by the Delhi High Court. In a first for the designer, the retailer has agreed not to use Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s designs in future as well as the trademark Sabyasachi for selling its own garments.

Additionally, on world intellectual property day, the designer was also awarded the National Intellectual Property Award for Top Indian organisation for Designs and Commercialization conferred by the Indian Intellectual Property Office.

This is a double victory for Sabyasachi as not only has the Indian Intellectual property office bestowed such an honour on the designer but also the Courts have recognised his rights over his exquisite and unique designs.
