Saif Khan and Manish Biala give a talk at the North Eastern Police Academy in Shillong at the Workshop on Financial Frauds, Corporate Offences & Intellectual Property Rights.

Organised by the Cell for IPR Promotion and Management, the workshop covered pressing issues concerning IP rights. In addition to members of Indian police forces, officials of the Bangladesh Civil Services also attended the training sessions.

The talks focused on piracy, counterfeiting – in the physical and digital realms – and their social and economic impacts. The speakers shared legal know-how and practical experience on India’s trademark framework and the role of the police in enforcing these rights.

Anand and Anand has been invited to numerous such knowledge-building efforts by CIPAM, formed under the aegis of the Department for Industrial Policy and Promotion.
