To mark the twin celebrations of the 15th anniversary of our Chennai Office and World IP Day, we hosted a warm evening for our clients in Chennai. The speakers included luminaries such as Academy Award (Oscar) nominee, Bombay Jayashri Ramanath, Retd. Hon’ble Justice Prabha Sridevan, Renowned Author, Illustrator and humorist, Krishna Shastri Devulapalli, and Historian V. Sriram in engaging sessions moderated by M.S. Bharath.

It was indeed a momentous occasion with unique topics covered by renowned speakers:

  • History: Historian V Sriram sharing anecdotes from Historic pre-independence landmark IP cases fought before the Madras High Court
  • Respect: Academy Award (Oscar) nominee Bombay Jayashri who co-scored music for “Life of Pi” on how artists yearn for respect for their creativity more than commercial aspects;
  • Emotions: Author, Illustrator and humourist Krishna Shastri Devulapalli on how IP more so Copyright had shaped his family over 3 generations, his grandfather the renowned Telugu Poet, his father a cartoonist and illustrator and himself;
  • Culure: Justice Prabha Sridevan on how the unique culture of India and Indians had shaped our unique IP Culture.
