The LES APAC Conference 2018 was held in New Delhi from 11th -14th November. Pravin Anand and Archana Shanker were the panellists for different sessions and shared their views.

Pravin Anand as a moderator of the eminent panel including Dr. Heinz Goddar- Partner, Boehmert and Behmert, Manoj Pandey-Advisor (Law), Competition Commission of India, Pratap Shanker-Founding Partner, Legal Consultus and Vladimir Biriulin- Partner, Gorodissky & Partners, discussed the aspects related to IPR and Competition Law with respect to evolving trends of SEP/FRAND, recent court cases, international Landscape, antitrust issues involving standards and national policies to help shape innovation and much more…

Archana Shanker along with DR. K.S Kardam, Dr. KC Bansal and Dr. Sunil Chandok discussed the convergence of Plant Biotech Inventions and Plant Variety.

The panel examined “the impact of the recent Delhi High Court Order in the Monsanto Case, to see whether the order and other government policies will impact innovation in plant genetics and is a solution to deal with the agony of the farmers in India”.
