CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

With an experience of 17 years in IP, Ritika works in key areas of Patents including patent prosecution, patent drafting, patentability/invalidity searches, vetting of 4G/5G patents, infringement analysis of SEP/NSEP patents and more. She now manages a team that works on patent drafting in the field of electronics, AI, ML, medical equipments, IoT, mechanical domains across various jurisdictions, especially, patents being filed in India, US, and Europe, where the team members are located in-house as well as few are outsourced. As part of the technical team, she is responsible for handling the inflow of case volumes, guiding the team to improve upon addressing of objections in office actions (FERs), attending oral hearings before the Patent Office on behalf of top-notch Telecom and software companies and inventors for their inventions and handling client queries and corresponding corrective actions, especially for top telecom companies. From a business standpoint, she regularly meets inventors to understand their inventions and provide techno-legal advice based on their queries, encourages them to file more patents, and conducts IP awareness sessions in various business areas to impart the importance of patents.

She has been recently involved in helping software and telecom companies with patent description review and prior art search for filing in the US.

EXPERIENCE

Ritika has an overall experience of 17 years in the arena of Intellectual Property. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, she worked directly with new customers & partners, and engaged in business development by meeting clients and attending international IP conferences such as APAA, AIPLA, AIPPI, IPO. She has been a member of various International IP conventions.

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

As an IP Enthusiast, Ritika regularly engages in IP awareness programs and pro- bono workshops organized by well recognized bodies such as IIT Chennai and National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) and certain industry bodies, enforcement agencies and various IP stakeholders.

She also writes articles for leading IP publications and participates in significant and change-making IP conferences.
